Hey everyone! It seems I have gotten lost in my work, life, and dreams. I have failed to supply you with humor, wit, or anything for that matter. I do apologize for being absent for such a long time, but from this point on I promise to blog at least once a week. Writing my book has become a full time job, consuming any and all of my free time as of late. Currently I am in the middle of editing and rewriting the entire story.
Writing has been a learning experience for me, finding out what I had done wrong, what was expected of any story, and so forth. I've "met" some really great people on the net who share my passion for the pen. Some share tips, and knowledge, while others have given me the chance to share with them.
Feedback is another very important part of the process, some many be bad and some very good. Either way you must learn to not take any of it personally, learn from it, take from it what you can and move on.
Research is extremely important, no matter what genre or subject you write about, it is a key ingredient to a great book. Not only should you research the subject matter, but prospective titles as well. For me this means writing out a list of titles that I like, then narrowing it down to the 3 to 5 best fitting. Once I have done that I research each title, I try to choose the one to which no other book has been titled.
I hope you have found something useful in this rambling, it is now time for me to take a break. Family and food awaits me.
Until next time,
Write in Wayward Authors!
Jane
