Lately my mind has been working in two distinct speeds, the first being a normal pace, the other over load. Tonight happens to be one of those over load nights. Seems I have just barely finished my very first novel and I am already writing the sequel. I still have a ton of editing to do with the first but until I get reviews and feedback from my pre-editor and readers I wanted to wait.
With that said my mind has went and began another book, I just started it and already have almost 10,000 words. I hear you all saying "so why are you complaining?" Trust me I'm so not complaining I just feel a little overwhelmed right now. I love that another story has come from with in my minds eye but I'm honestly not sure I should be getting this involved in a sequel when the original isn't totally polished. There is always the possibility that the one I'm working on won't match up to the original after it goes through the entire editing process....guess that is a chance worth taking as I can always edit this one down to pick up where the first leaves off...right?
Ugh...I do love to write and my goal is not to become rich, instead I only look forward to sharing my stories with others, I have gotten lost in this world so why not let readers do the same. Don't get me wrong I hope I do make some money but I'm not looking to get a million dollars from my writing...not even close! I know I'm rambling aren't I...well I knew I would hence the title of this entry. If you have any input please feel free to leave it...I am interested in hearing how other authors deal with similar things.
